Learning Journal

This is journal for students to post questions on after a lesson. I have recently taught a lesson about resources.
What questions do you still have after today's lesson about natural, human, and capital resources?
How does scarcity affect resources?

My Story

I started out my college career having wanting to be a physical therapist. I realized that I wanted to teach and spend time with kids after spending time at Muscular Dystrophy camp. I was married on July 14, 2007 to the love of my life and my high school sweetheart. Marriage is so great! We went to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming for our honeymoon, and it was an amazing trip. I loved the area. I hope to live in an area that beautiful someday!
I have learned a lot about life from my parents. One thing that I always remember is don't sweat the small stuff. I have learned that you have to be patient. God will make things happen when he wants to!

Student Teaching

I found out I am student teaching in Riley county! I am in a sixth grade classroom, which is very exciting. I really am looking forward to spending a lot of time in the classroom. It will be a long drive everyday, but it will be a good way to clear my head at the end of the day, and prepare for the beginning of the day!

MDA Camp

So for a few summers I have a volunteered at a camp for kids with muscular dystrophy. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in my life. I truly love the kids at camp! Even though I am only at camp one week a year, I have made friends that will last a lifetime!
My husbands cousin has MD and that is what got us started going to camp. It is really hard to see someone be sick and know that there is nothing you can do to make them better. Camp gives these kids the chance to do things they never get to do!
